Pastor's Welcome

Greetings, in the name of Jesus! My name is Mario Gaulin and along with my wife Teresa, we welcome you to First Baptist Church Pembroke (FBCP).

As you are looking at our webpage, I presume that you’re searching for a community in which to worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus, and for a place to grow spiritually. If that’s the case, you have come to the right place!

As a background, it would be good for you to know that I was a military chaplain for many years (2004-2021) and had been in the military since 1978. And in the Lord's timing, I was called in September 2020 to serve as Pastor with FBCP. My wife and I are excited to be here.

FBCP has a long history and tradition of witness to the Good News of Jesus going back to 1873. And as a previous pastor said (Rev. Wayne Sollows), “we’re big enough to serve you, but small enough to know you.”

Each Sunday morning, our worship begins at 10:30 a.m., and we have something for everyone! Our pianist leads us in music that is uplifting in its praise to God. Each week we focus on the Bible in readings; we offer our prayers to God and we focus on a message that brings the teachings of scripture “to life,” which is to be applied to our lives in a relevant and fresh way.

So, if you are tired of all the bad news out there – in the paper, on radio, TV or the internet - why not join us this Sunday morning and give your spirit a boost, with some Good News!

We're easy to find at the corner of Mary and Moffat Streets (click on the Map & Directions link on the homepage) – take this as your personal Invitation - we look forward to seeing you – come as you are (we don’t have a dress code): you’ll “Fit in" at First Baptist Church Pembroke (FBCP)!

In Christ,

Rev. Mario Gaulin

Pastor FBCP
